Author Biographies

Joan Boadas i Raset

Joan Boadas i Raset has held the position of Girona Municipal Archivist since 1990. He also holds the positions of General Manager of the Cinema Museum, Director of Research and Image Diffusion Centre, and Head of the Municipal Records Management, Archives and Publications. He has written a number of books and articles on the topic of archives. He has been President of the Coordinator of Spanish Archivists Associations between 2003 and 2005 and the representative of AAC on the ICA/SPA Steering Committee from 2004 to 2012. He is the ICA official representative to the CCAAA (Co-ordinating Council of Audiovisual Archivist Associations) since May 2009 and member of ICA/PCOM (Programme Commission) since June 2013. In May 2009 he was nominated ICA (International Council on archives) commissioner for photographic and audiovisual archives.

 

Anna Gironella i Delga

Anna Gironella i Delga is an archivist in the Municipal Archive of Girona, specialized in documents from the medieval and early modern period. She published several articles on the documents at the Municipal Archive of Girona and took part in the publication of some collections of documents: the Lletres reials a la ciutat de Girona: 1517-1713 (2005), and the cartulary Llibre groc de la ciutat de Girona (2007). As a historian, her lines of research are focused on the medieval history of Girona, especially women's and monastic history. Her publications include La Ciutat de les dames: dona i creació artística a Girona (segles X-XVIII) (2008) and El Monestir de Sant Daniel de Girona: mil anys de vida a la Vall (2010).
