Author Biography

Nick Poole

Nick Poole is CEO of the Collections Trust, the UK and international organisation for Collections Management. He is the Chair of the UK branch of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) and of the Europeana Content Council. He is also a trustee of the UK Museums Association and the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP).
Nick has published and lectured worldwide on the subject of Collections Management, Digitisation and the Economics of Culture. In his previous role, he was National IT Adviser & formerly Regional Policy Adviser to the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA). He studied Languages at Cambridge, Fine Art at Central St Martins and the History and Philosophy of Science at University College London.
Nick is Director of two successful Internet-based startup companies and lives in London with his wife and two daughters.
