Author Biographies

Inés Matres

Inés Matres born 1983 in Madrid, currently living in Berlin. Studied audiovisual communication and has an MA Degree in European Media Studies. After working as online editor for several cultural institutions in Berlin she took over the management of the portal in April 2011. Currently Inés Matres collaborates with the Institute of Museum Research (Staatliche Museen zu Berlin – Preußischer Kulturbesitz) where she follows the further developments of along with other European projects the Institute is involved in.

Thorsten Siegmann

Thorsten Siegmann worked at the Institute for Museum Research in Berlin from 2007 to 2011 and was in charge of the portal at that time. He has coordinated the EU-funded project between 2008 and 2010. Thorsten is still involved in the management of cultural heritage projects. He currently co-ordinates the Europeana Collection 1914-1918 project at the Berlin State Library.
